With its idyllic location in the forest, surrounded by wide green spaces and within walking distance of the largest dam in Westfalen, it is the perfect place for your time out.
Our spacious and versatile house invites you to play, move and meet. Enjoy the large hall, the bistro and the spacious lawns with beach volleyball court, play equipment and football pitch. Look forward to unforgettable moments and a relaxed atmosphere. We also offer an organic-certified breakfast to ensure a healthy start to the day.
Water, forest and space The Biggesee covers an impressive area of 8,760 km², the equivalent of over 1,200 soccer pitches. The range of water sports on offer is just as varied: experience the excellent water quality while swimming, canoeing and other activities or take a tour of the lake and enjoy the breathtaking views. You can explore the beautiful landscape on hikes and bike tours at any time of year. Thanks to our location by the forest, hikes and nature experiences of all kinds start right on the doorstep.
For school trips, vacation camps, group trips, family vacations and individual travelers Relaxing, walking, rehearsing, hiking, swimming, climbing, conferences - Biggesee Youth Hostel offers plenty of opportunities. Whether families, solo travelers, sports clubs, music groups, vacation camps or cyclists, everyone is welcome here. A school trip to the Biggesee is always a journey into adventure: unearth the "treasure of the Biggesee" together, embark on an expedition into the famous Attahöhle cave, experience outdoor adventures in a tepee and grow into a real team!
