GeoRadroute Ruhr-Eder / Neusta POIs / Hohe Bracht ski area

The Hohe Bracht ski area is located in Lennestadt, above the Bilstein and Altenhundem districts, at approx. 600 m above sea level. The Lennestadt e.V. ski club maintains cross-country ski trails and an alpine ski area here. These are embedded in the idyllic setting of the densely wooded South Sauerland. Sport and nature do not interfere with each other here.

The alpine ski slope with lift and floodlights is located on the northern slope of Aussichtsturm Hohe Bracht, below the lookout tower, at an altitude of 510-580m.

  • The length of the run is approx. 500m
  • Skiing takes place when there is sufficient natural snow. Information at www.skiclub-lennestadt.de, www.bergfex.de and www.wintersport-arena.de
  • The lift itself is divided into 2 sections. For reasons of nature conservation, no drag anchor lifts were installed here, but so-called circulating lifts with towing brackets. This eliminates the need for disruptive lift masts. The lifts are completely dismantled when there is no snow
  • The ski slope is illuminated with a powerful floodlight system when darkness falls

Opening hours when there is sufficient natural snow:
Mondays to Fridays: 15:00-21:00 (with floodlights when darkness falls)

Saturdays and Sundays: 10:00-19:00 (floodlit when darkness falls)
